a broken bumper is all that remains
and another life has just been claimed
in shattered glass
through unsettled past
i know this was never your aim
but you moved in haste
and caused such a waste
crunch time
pinch the dime
why is this always the case
but is there rest in this great rat race
or is it vain to slow down our pace
for what do we run
we must look to the Son
in Him there is peace, love and grace
